I know the Hellcat Red Eye is getting some of the Demon technology, things like the killer chiller which will keep the engine cool during racing, but not things like the transbrake which the Scatpack 1320 will be getting.

My guess is that they're keeping all of the Demon technology away from the Hellcats because they don't want the new Hellcats to mirror the Demon. Around 3,000 paid an ungodly amount of money (adm or $20,000 or more on a lot of them) and they would feel ripped off if the new Hellcat models had all the bells and whistles of the Demon.

I know there is even a class action lawsuit against GM concerning the overheating problems on the C7Z.
Based on what I have read, the Camaro team didn't want to deal with the overheating issues, so they included 11 heat exchangers to make sure the ZL1 wouldn't suffer the Z06's problems. The Corvette team updated the Z06 with a bigger supercharger and some other assorted cooling mods.

Was out last night. I usually don't care too much about this stuff, but we had a huge group of about 40 of us out last night. 2 Demons were with us. Fkn gorgeous cars, but unfortunately, they got gapped. I just have a hard time believing this 800 hp shit Dodge is claiming on the Demon. I would post video, but I'd get the ban hammer, so u gonna have to take my word for it. And it's not like he was up against my Zl1 cus I would of given him the sauce. It was a 750 hp Coyote straight up sending it.

The overheating issue was with the 15-16 Z06s. The 17s and up were updated and I think they have not shown any issues with overheating. It should be noted that the overheating was mainly during extended track periods and on very hot days. Or so I was led to believe. Someone with experience might know a little more. But those who have not gone to the track or who just like to drive in a spirited manner have not had any issues with overheating. A buddy of mine has one and he says it has never overheated on him.

The ZL1 is a different story altogether. GM built it to NOT overheat at all. Everything from the grille design to the placement of the 11 heat exchangers means that it will not overheat at all. A company (I forget who) tried to get it to overheat and it would not, lol!! So there is no worry about that for us.

The Demons seem to not be doing well in roll racing. They've been getting beaten out there by some of everything. The initial thought that comes to mind is that FCA tuned it specifically to be optimized for quarter mile races or from starting from a dig. NOT for roll racing. I am under the belief that the Redeye will not have these issues.

What I would like to see is a roll race between a stock Hellcat and a stock Demon so we can see how good or bad they are on roll races.

Since when did the Mustang come in at 3700 wet weight? haha. Shit, I just looked it up. They shaved some weight off. 3500 to 3800 lbs. I'm gonna tend to lend on the lighter side on this one cus I know these Coyote guys be shaving weight like a mofo. REGARDLESS, it was still a gap job. I'm talking on the hit, gone. Bye Bye. Never to be seen in the video ever again.

Plus, on the streets, you have no idea who is stock or not, but obvious this Demon was stock and new to the group, but still. Wasn't expecting that kind of gap.

I see what you did there. haha. U snuck one by me. You gave me crank hp on the Demon but RWHP on the Stang. Nicely done.

I can't, it's only on our FB group. Which is private. i do have my gap job on there against Dan, but that wasn't fair. He's 740, I was on my 950 tune.

I only said what I said because they make the Demon to be some unbeatable straight line car and honestly, it's a dog. That was the first time I have ever seen one run on the streets so. I thought he'd put the gap on someone. I think he lost all his races. We stuck him in the middle of the group with the 600-750 hp guys. 800+ stays up front and he was nowhere in site. He got sauced. There was a modded Hellcat if I recall that did pretty decent, but he still wasn't up front with us. We usually have the 1000+ run the front, then 800+ behind, then 600-750 fall in back.

I am interested to see what the RedEye does.

I see. That video vs Dan(the white mustang I assume) was terrible...his car upshifted right on the hit. That would have been a door to door race otherwise.

No, Dan has the Zl1. That White Mustang was a 760 Hp VMP Stang, even tho he says he's in the mid 600's, but one thing I know, Stang guys sand bad like nobody else. Yea, he shifted too early or he was caught in the wrong gear, (manuals can't run the A10), but that was on my 760 hp. Before my pro charger. I'd freight train him now. He won't come back out and run me so. I didn't even know I had the video up of that Stang. Thought I took it down. Unless you have the wrong channel. Nope, it's still on there. That was b4 the cam work.

In our group of about 60 street racers, 40 of them are stang owners and EVERY one of them bs about their weight and hp #'s. And they get fkn pissed when a Camaro drags their ass. It's so funny. The Dodge guys don't give a shit. They'll run anyone, win lose, they don't care.

I have a call out to Stang Mode, but he's avoiding me. I keep saying, dude, thought your Mustang was the bees knees. You keep acting like your '18 is the killa. Well, I got a Zl1 for ya. He won't run me.

There is no doubt in my mind the 9.65 for the tuned Demon is a hero run, pure and simple. Strip probably prepped to hell and back, professional drivers, several cars to choose from, negative DA, etc.

I think we need a bigger test sample to get the true idea about the 9.65 run, which we should get this fall/winter/spring, however my gut says hero run.

I think we've had some guys in the 9.9x range, but I don't think we have any in the 9.8x or quicker range.

Even 9.9 from a dig is good. I doubt any of these cars I'm seeing on a roll will run a 9.9 from a dig so. Man, I wish I can post videos. haha. The Demon in our group got straight freight trained. I thought for sure it would at least hang with our mid pack.

I figured a pulley down and a tune and you are basically at 1000 hp so. Not sure what the deal is on a roll. Eh, anyways. It's whatever. They sure are sick in person.
