Wondering if anyone has a good method for removing built up wax along the seems of XPel. I've tried using a toothbrush with some detail spray and it really didnt do much. Perhaps there's a wax remover that could be used that wouldnt harm the bond of the Xpel to the car ?

There are wax removers but they down't work that well. I would use a soft goats hair brush and car wash shampoo foam.

Thanks, i'll give that a try but it may need something with a little more oomph. The wax has been there for a bit and dried up pretty hard

Dried wax from previous detailers is something that I deal with frequently. I have several little tools that I useto physically remove it. Slick Stixx, plastic scrapers, brushes, pink erasers, etc.

All you can really do is try to soften it up first with soap or a dried wax remover. Some of those dried wax removers WILL swirl up the paint if you get it on the paint. That's the main reason I don't like them. Griots, Chemical Guys and others make Wax Remover, and Plastic Trim Cleaners for dried wax. I have the best luck just softening it with soap and scrubbing with a microfiber or brush.

A very soft painter’s horsehair brush And diluted 50/50 rubbing alcohol/water....

I use prep spray and a small soft-bristle detail brush or microfiber. Sometimes rinseless is enough to break it up.
