I've had very good luck with them. Good prices and my wife has had a few small accidents and they were just fine.

I'm old, married, clean credit, clean driving record, lucky me... I guess.
Higher than mine (I'm 38 and married, clean record)

Check out progressive, they saved me a bunch!

Does anyone know how much (on avg.) insurance would it be for a 28 year old to have a SS or RS covered?

Here is a fair comparison for you. I'm 19 as well have a 2016 2ss and a 2012 Volkswagen CC sport. I pay 155 a month for my Camaro with 1000 deductible, and 180 a month for my Volkswagen with a 500 deductible. This is all through State Farm and includes all my discounts

My first car back in New Jersey was a 1998 Mitsubishi GSX back in 2002. It cost me $250/month for financing and my insurance was $300/month on my parent's policy. I convinced my grandfather to pay off my loan (I paid him monthly instead) so I could drop the insurance to a cheaper rate. It was ridiculous. My insurance premium practically halved itself when I moved to Florida and went down again when I turned 25. Now I'm still paying $85/month on my Mustang with Progressive for full coverage.

Where are you guys getting 12 month policies? Down here in Florida everything seems to be 6 month.

Damn that's crazy. I thought my $85/month was cheap.

I'm 38 and just got a new to me '16 2SS and my insurance went up $38 per month. Yes, it costs me $38 a month for full coverage. It's my 3rd vehicle on our policy through Progressive and both my wife and I have no tickets or anything on our records.
Does having the SS as your "third" vehicle versus your first vehicle make any difference? Isn't it just a multi-car discount? Or do they actually base rates off of primary/secondary/etc?

Old, married, spotless record.
New car replacement, (100%) $1k deductible, $790/year with Plymouth Rock.
Figured for first couple years, I'd go that route.
Otherwise would have been $472/year insured at assessed value replacement.

Just remember if it's not a daily driver think about going with collector car insurance. This is an agreed value (you determine the value) vs. Market value insurance companies cover. So if your vehicle is totaled and KBB says it's work $25k that is what you get vs. agreed value like I have on my 17 SS vert with an agreed value of $55k I will walk away with $55k not KBB.
