6’0 and about 200 lbs and my Recaro fits me like a glove and actually gives me more back support than the seats in my 2016 2SS did!

I am a strong proponent of the ketodiet. Or should I say keto lifestyle.
Eating high fat (65%) moderate protein (30%) low carbs (5%) including eliminating most fruit is not easy for everyone, but the science behind it is undeniable.

Just my .03 as the unofficial ZL1 group physician

now that i hit my goal aka under 200lbs i eat a little more carbs than normal but still under 30g a day or so and some cheating on the weekends! hit the gym hard 2-3 days a week so im still making progress but not really worried about the scale as much anymore

Agreed but sometimes I think the whole unlimited cheese and high fat meats (i.e. bacon) can't be good for your arteries.

I still have carbs but it's earlier in the day and I cut out fruits and and a lot of sugar.

My weakness every so often is.....donuts. Freakin' love them. I run and walk a ton so luckily I burn off most stuff.

I am 6'1" and 210. But I have narrow hips and small waist with big chest and shoulders. My body fat is low so I am lean. I exercise often and ride a MB on very hilly terrain with Elevation Gain of 400 ft in 10 miles. I really don't have any trouble.

Ride Ride that bike

I'm in the same boat I'm afraid my heart would explode. Dad just had a quintuple bypass over Christmas last year.

I've drank and eaten myself into a 50 pound gain, sitting at 6'0" and about 230, not pleased but I've been living the good life lol.

I will say I wouldn't want to be much bigger than I am or I wouldn't be comfortable in the Recaros for very long.

Hehe, I knew I'd find some ardent followers here Nah, it isn't sustainable but relatively quick---of course once you approach the desired weight, you ramp actual food back up. But as you said, the later in the day, the lower the carb intake, and that is somewhat sustainable. Then again, I am no expert and just wanted to share an idea in case someone finds the willpower in themselves.

This thread reminded me, 5'8" 262lbs, to hit my treadmill and go for an up hill jog. The seats really hold me in place that is for damn sure, but they are definitely getting a good stretch from me.

Started exercising 2 to 3 times a week earlier in the year, so far down over 10 lbs, but my strength and endurance is much much better than where I started and my body fat % has been lowered. Still along way to go.

^^^This... I lost 115 in 8 months going hard core ketosis but gained more than half of it back now. (Too much Beer and fun) Problem is now I know exactly how to do it so not worried as much anymore. Just have to be in the right mind set to get started. Pretty sure I'm going to hit it hard over the next couple of months and get back down where I want to be.

I'm 6'0, 260lbs and the stock seats are useless, don't hold me in place at all on the track. Not to mention the stock seats themselves are super heavy. I just bought an OMP HTE-R to replace the drivers seat.

Sounds like group mental therapy...I'm guilty..6'1 was 245 started treadmill in Feb now at 218 on good day... have not been at this weight for long time, hurt my right knee..could be due to I recently started 2 minute runs on treadmill, went for shot in the knee 1st time.. was fine for week pain did return, quit the treadmill when it happened, i'm on my 5th week...seems to be better still sensitive...putting ice pack on it in morning...figure maybe 2 weeks from now I'll get back on that treadmill....why..I need to and have to at this age 60...I'm recent ZL1 owner...so yes..new car has motivated me to want to be slimmer..

6 ft 260 in the recaro, little tight, i find myself adjusting my thighs every now and again. I'd be happy losing 30 to 40 lbs.

This diet has been around for many many decades, only recently gained popularity. You have to really understand metabolism to understand WHY this diet doesn't clog your arteries , the way eating high fat WITH carbs would,

Complete metabolic reprogramming. The body no longer stores fat... anywhere, it preferentially metabolizes it.

We have some die hard gym rats and fitness fanatics at my job that did a full on metabolic profile before 3 months 6 months and 1 year after starting the keto lifestyle.

HDL went way up, LDL and VLDLD went waay down on everyone.

Istarted at 171, dropped down to 149 in a few months on keto. Now holding steady at 155
