Kooks headers installed help needed...

Hey guys just wondering about any recommendations I've installed kooks LT 2" primaries headers and mated them to the stock exhaust but it sounds to "raspy" and ideas on how to make it sound better any recommendations on catbacks or anybody with a similiar experience I'd like to hear your thoughts.

Thanks in advance

Did you retain the stock cats or no?

Do you have a video of this setup? Going to be doing the same setup as soon as my kooks headers arrive

That's what happens when you open exhaust up...you could try some expensive experimenting with cat backs, but anything with no cats or even high flow cats will sound raspy. If you're running no cats to the stock exhaust, I'd get a Corsa system. ZL1_Tommy is Kooks headers + no cats and used to run a Magnaflow exhaust and it sounded like...well this:

He changed to a Corsa Xtreme system and it sounds a lot better IMO. There's videos on his Instagram, not much on YouTube except for the end of this video @ 1:26:

Corsa doesn't drone, as noted, and usually rasps less.

Here is mine with full Kooks 1 7/8 headers and 3" exhaust w/ my Whipple. Putting down 600 to the wheels. It has a very deep tone and lost that raspy side with the pops.

I know guys say otherwise but I tried them all.
Corsa all the way.

I totally agree, if Corsa had a system that maintained the NPP I would be all over it. I have used several of their systems before and have ALWAYS been happy with them....

Yep, it take some people a few expensive tries at exhaust before they go to Corsa.

Corsa doesn't make/never has made a dual mode exhaust for any car and they won't start now. Their systems are good sounding without being overly loud and quiet right down at idle and cruising speeds. No drone. Good refined sound, unlike the cheap shit exhaust produced by others that just sounds like that rusted out chevy truck with the dragging muffler.

I'd really like to keep the NPP but it seems corsa and SW are winning the batlle. I can't stand the way it sounds with just the LT and no cats thru the stock exhaust

I have to say I never really used the NPP but the full Kooks LT's, Hiflo cats, and 3" exhaust has sounded absolutely awesome. Finally sounds like it drives.

Does anyone have a comparison video of corsa extreme and corse sport exhausts?
