2014 V6 manual shift knob?
I did a search and nothing really came up except some old threads, and the shifter design supposedly changed after 2012, if I recall.
I want to replace the black plastic shift knob with a solid white ball, kind of like the Hurst ball, but I don't want to replace the entire shifter assembly, just the knob. Can anyone tell/show me what they've done, and recommend any products? |

Try MGW or TWM if you want a great shift knob that will fit on the stock application.
Personally, I replaced the stocker with a Barton, and the knob with an 8 Ball from House O' Speed

I'm pretty sure that the factory OEM sticks for all 5th gen models do not have threads.
So did you just juryrig it and get lucky? Or did you happen to have an aftermarket shifter?

The V6 manual shifter is a different assembly from the V8/SS manual shifters, is it not? (they're two different transmissions)

thanks for the confirm Vroom,
So, Op- to answer your question, the stick has the same non threaded notch to put the knob on, even though the shifter assembly itself is different. I think what 2014camaro did was put an undersized threaded shift knob on an oversized non threaded shifter, which probably mashed up the threading in the knob a bit, but if it works and looks good, why not?

If the stick is unthreaded, then I'll probably need an adapter. |

Both MGW and TWM sell shift knobs with the correct adapter, or made for this application
