CEL Help!

I just installed the JBA Catted midpipes and my car has a CEL on. The midpipes have a leak where they join the rest of the exhaust but it is past an O2 sensor. During install, we got some oil on an O2 sensor but they function because it took a day for it to throw a code. Does anybody have any idea before I check the code, I also can not get a tune. If its not fixable I will just return it to stock and buy a new o2 sensor.

Get the leak fixed. It doesn't take much to throw a code.

If you got oil on the sensor, it's probably trashed. They're really picky. I've seen many O2 sensors failed from hastily-applied anti-seize.

The truth is nobody can give you an answer without the code(s)

It could be because of the exhaust leak, the O2 sensor seems to be running too lean in the eyes of the computer and that throws a code for either system lean or O2 sensor stuck lean, or if the oil messed up the sensor that could be it but I doubt it.

And you say it's passed the O2 but I'm not sure which ones you mean, you have four

Catalyst system efficiency below threshold bank 2. Host of causes to include exhaust leak, defective sensor, F/A ratio etc... Since you are already aware of two of these possibilities, I'd rectify them by doing the obvious one first. And that, as mentioned above, would be the leak.

Man I'm just glad its not too serious. I will fix the leak then unplug the battery overnight and drive it for a couple days, if CEL stays on I'll replace o2 and if that doesn't work I'll put stock cats back on
