Are you saying just pop the clutch like you are doing a burnout but at 1000 rpms. I may have been easing off of it today. I tried it twice. I'm game to try it again. I tried the no lift shift and thought that was a cool undocumented feature.

For me it is no gas, just apply clutch slowly to prevent stall and it will just keep on going, even slightly uphill (my driveway). Not something I do often but being that my car is loud sometimes I pull out of my garage like this and out my driveway LOL.

Mind you have have TOTALLY different tuning that a stock LT4 but the car is capable of such a boring act.

I do the same thing pulling out of my garage. Release the clutch slowly with no pressure on the gas pedal. I tried before going up my driveway but it was too steep.

Car maintains 1000rpm on startup to help get fluids moving/warm up/emissions, after a few seconds, it goes to normal idle speed, which is still a little higher, but well below 1000rpm. My take-away from that is the car is ready to drive when the RPMs decrease towards normal idle. At that point, it seems it's simply the torque and you will stall if you slip it too fast. Car can always be slipped and shifted into first and sometimes 2nd if you are careful, due to the torque it has, but it isn't "maintaining 1000rpm" in any of those situations.

I'm wondering if those 20 or so seconds at 1000rpm on startup is what people are referring to. When the car is warm, it doesn't do that.

Negative, I'll post a video of it for ya tomorrow. It absolutely will maintain 1000rpm.. do not touch the gas or it will over ride the computer ..Tuner at Vengeance racing showed me the feature. It absolutely works everytime..

I stalled the Camaro when it was new more than any other car I've owned.

Single disc clutches seem to have a little more natural engagement slip versus a twin disc.
Could be all in my head, but I had to relearn my clutch release timing/speed to get the car to leave more normal.

When I was teaching my wife to drive the car, she pulled this off several times. I figured it was just the torque that rolled it forward w/o throttle.

It absolutely will not stall, cold or warm, done this many times. The clutch just needs to "eased" and it will just start moving the car ~1000 rpm, works every time. Let it out to quick, yup, you will stall for sure.

My tuner informed me that it is part of the tune that cannot be removed. It is there to prevent damage to the clutch from slipping. If you over rev and the computer detects slip it will close the tb and stall..if you just ease off the clutch normally and do not touch the throttle it will maintain 1000rpm at all times .. I'll post a video later today..

Just a 1SS here, but I have 151k+ on my stock clutch, daily stop and go traffic on my 50 mile drive to work, many tire burning affairs and the clutch still feels strong.

Good to know!!! Let me see, I will be averaging 3K-5K annually (I have 3 cars and up north and all), at my age, I will NEVER see 150K miles!!!

I won't live long enough! LOL!

My clutch should be good for as long as I will need it.

Only just passed 40k and not daily, so thanks for being the "test pilot".

Can you post a vid? I tried today and my car will get going with just clutch and no gas but it does it at 500 rpm and not ~1k.

What mode are you in? I was in track. I’ll try again tomorrow in Sport....My car definitely doesn’t do this.
