SS owners with standard Non NPP exhaust
SS owners with standard exhaust (Non NPP) are you happy with the sound or do you wish you had the NPP or aftermarket exhaust? I recently picked up a '16 SS Convertible with a 6 speed manual and although it sounds pretty good on a cold start I feel it is a liitle too timid sounding once it warms up. Thinking about a Borla ATAK axleback but still debating....

2018 SS with 15k miles now - very satisfied. It's quiet enough to prevent problems with the neighbors and throaty enough to be enjoyable.

I like mine so far. Quiet when you need it to be and not to loud when you get into it. I am old and like to be in stealth mode lol

The Flowmaster Outlaws are in the same sound range as the Borla ATAK I believe. Price was the deciding factor for me. Hope this helps.

I purposely didn’t order my SS with the NPP because I wasn’t willing to pay $900 for the GM option, just to take it off and pay another $1500 for a NPP compatible exhaust. So I bought my exhaust parts before my car was even delivered. I had the stock exhaust changed out the day after I brought the car home.

I don't have an SS but have the standard exhaust with the V6 and wish so much I had the NPP. The stock exhaust simply has no sound at all and way too quiet for me. My GF's stock Silverado and my 2016 WRX have way more sound. I am going to get the Flowmaster axle back as soon as I can afford it. I also drove an SS without NPP as well and it too was way too quiet for me.
If I had to make one recommendation for others buying a Gen 6- get the NPP- V6 or SS.

Neighbors are close by. I dared not get this option. The stock exhaust sounds good enough.

I replaced the stock exhaust with the flow master Merican Thunder Axle back and it sounds way better with the exception of some drone, I plan on going to the Borla S-Type here one of these days but honestly when it's warmed up it does sound good.

I got a corsa because it was not the sound I wanted. The worst thing about the factory exhaust is that it’s only really loud on cold start up. Perfect for annoying the neighbors and nothing else.
