Thanks for all the good info. Do you need to disconnect the battery, before removing connectors from the overhead console??

Aren't the mirrors on the 2016 Camaro and C7 Vette the same?

http://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/...n-2015-c7.html

Looks like there's a purple wire in the mirror harness according to that Vette thread. Anyone check it?

Well, got mine done last night and nope, no 12V power in the mirror surprisingly.

Just to verify: Can I make it work with a 10 inch mirror tap or I need to find 15 inch cable?
Thanks

I'd get the longer one. I think I made mine 12" and it was "just" long enough. You can always tuck the extra up in the headliner, but if it's too short, well.......

I was lazy and ordered mine from blendmount when I ordered the mount. Came with multiple size connectors, zip ties and all you need. Worked great!

FYI, you can test without starting the car. Long press the start button (until you see the DIC and headlights turn on) to put the car in "Service mode". Thanks again for this guide!

So if you use the mirror tap all you have to do is stick those two taps into the harness on the back of the mirror? They actually stay in?

Also, is the 1SS mirror set up the same power wise?
