2018 SS TCM Unlock

Tried searching and couldn't find a definitive answer...

If I purchase a new, unlocked and programmed to VIN T87A TCM from HP Tuner, but the serv# does not match, will the TCM be unusable? Or will I just have codes that will need clearing?

The serv# that HP has in stock do not match the one in my car, mines is 24291283...I would prefer to not have it down for an extended period of time (due to shipping, damn Hawaii living).

For what its worth I believe 17's have a serv# that starts with 2427 and the 18's start with 2428

Just some info if anyone else was as clueless as I was. Removing/accessing the TCM really wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be....I went from the passenger fender well.
