Zoo is a good way to put it. You must be driving your car & the track really well to be able to mix it up with those guys! i left before the Sunday super session but ran it on Saturday. Cars like the R8 LMS and those trans am cars passed me like i was literally sitting still haha. the R8 actually tried to pass me on the side contrary to my point by and went off track on the outside of turn 2 ... sheesh... he recovered easily and still took off. Crazy speed differential. You probably also passed me in a blur as my arm was getting tired of giving point bys .. still a ton of fun though! Totally worth the 2 day drive form Ohio.

I remember seeing your car in the paddock and wondering if you rebadged your ZL1 to troll the world or re-bodied your SS. So which is it? Ha!

17 SS 1LE with OEM ZL1 1LE front fenders, nose, rockers, APR GTC-300 rear wing. Stock engine, tune, & suspension. That's why I have the NOTAZL1 license plate on at the track and 'SS' instead of 'ZL1' on the front grille! Ran 2:26. Probably one of the quicker non-trailed cars there. Second time at COTA. First was Aug 2017 when SCCA had its one and only TNIA event there.

Man, 450hp felt awfully slow on those long straights .. watching the GT3s pull on me or the 720S disappear was fun but frustrating.. especially when I closed the gap in the braking zone or next series of turns (which didn’t always happen). What a cool weekend with all that insane hardware .. the trailers were awesome too. Oh and not to mention the storm that we almost had to deal with but then ended up with sunny dryness ... bliss.

Got a point by from a Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 last week at Harris Hill track night in the advanced group! I'm going to guess that he was still learning the layout and/or line of that particular track since it was the first session of the day and that lap for me was over 3 seconds slower than my best lap later on in the final session. So, I was definitely not close to the lap times that Mustang was capable of with the right driver, but it is still a treat to share the track with high end cars like that.
