DIY: Garden Hose Shut Off Valve

I'm always switching between my pressure washer and garden hose nozzle whenever I wash the car. This would require me to close off the water valve several times during one wash. I thought about buying one of those quick shut off valves at lowe's, but the small diameter of the valve doesn't allow much water to pass through and they don't last long. I bought a heavy duty valve and a couple of adapters instead. I went with the 1/2 in. valve, but a 3/4 in. valve will work too. You'll need 3/4 adapters for the bigger valve if you decide to go with that one. I'm definitely going to enjoy washing the car more now haha

Here's what I purchased:

I just use these, they are quick disconnects which also stop the water flow

I use dedicated hose for pressure washer and splitter.

Another option: "full-flow" valves, such as this.

If you get a quick-connect, make sure that it has a valve (a.k.a. 'water stop'). I know that there are quick-connects that do not have this!

You are correct, MOST do not have this, had to search to find one that does have the water stop feature

The Bluetooth nozzle is the way to go.
