Personally, I think you will kick yourself in the ass later on if you don’t get the 1LE. You’ll keep thinking I should have bought the 1LE every time you see one. Plus they are just packed with performance for the money. Just my opinion of course. The LT1 is also great don’t get me wrong but if you like the looks of the 1LE that much then why would you compromise. Yes money is a consideration but if you were ready to pull the pin on a 1LE in the first place then sit back and wait for the right one. Again, just my opinion.

Ditto. The 1LE is the best performance vehicle available for the money. Hands down.

I definitely don't want to see an 1SS 1LE in an LT1 and think "if only..."
Ooof. That damn 1SS 1LE needs to come quick! Chevy in-transit date got delayed and moved up by a week, along with every other dealership in the area. |

The 1LE cars are rough riders, and for pure street use it will get old fast. You also have to live with terribly dusty brakes, rotors that rust and summer performance tires that suck in 50 degrees. None of that exists on the LT1 making for a much more pleasant street car and will run equal to or better than the 1LE in the 1/4 mile. I have 13000 spirited street only miles on my barebones LT1 and still love every mile. Oh and if your interested in some 1/4 mile action, I just made a pass at the track with drag radials on the rear, E85 and a LT2 intake and ran 11.60 with the fabulous 10 speed auto. ordered my 2021 LT1 and paid 35990.00 like the song says "cant touch that"

However rough the ride is, it won't be worse than my previous car with no-magneride. Plus it's just a weekend car, not a daily. I'm not surprised your car is fast, it's all the same underneath. I like straight line speed as much as taking corners fast, which means I'll need a proper tire set up. I'll either have to get that from the factory or in the aftermarket. Either way isn't cheap. One of the first things I'm going to do once the car is broken in is take it for some spirited mountain runs. No doubt that the LT1 makes the most financial sense to me. |

1 LE will cost more but don't forget it will always sell for more if you ever decide to sell it.
If people think the 1LE ride is rough I have never gotten tired out on road trips. I'm over 55 so maybe the really old farts think that? As far as saying one is more practical than the other I would think people are talking about some cute sport ute kid hauler/costco run car. Camaro's are not practical. If you can't swing the cost/payment that's another thing. V6 1LE would be 2nd choice. 300 hp. Still mucho fun. |

That's why when I buy cars, they're usually base models. My family vehicle is the first exception, and I stepped up 1 trim from base. Kind of hard to break old habits, in regards to NA Camaros, a 1SS 1LE is basically as good as it gets, and basically maxed in performance options. I've never had that before in my life. I've always loved cars, and I'm hoping that I can keep this one for a very, very long time. With that being said, I can safely justify it. I just saw a bad ass Camaro at the grocery store and figuratively speaking, I had to wipe the drool out the side of my mouth. It didn't have any badges, but it looked like a 1LE with the wide tires. |
