The 555R slightly warm have a far better hook.

Guys are the 555s better than the nto5r? I have a set and they seem no better than the r888s. I need spomething that hooks better on the street. This is a 10.5 rim

I belives the Nt05r and the 888 have the exact same compound. I've run the 555R and a little heat they are OK, heat and a prep surface they are pretty good. I'll probably go with 888 as my PS4s are history (4th set of rear tires, sub 20K).

The M/T ET STREET SS is a 000 compound whereas the Nitto 555r is a 100. I DD the 555R and save the M/T for the track as they would wear out too fast as a DD. But that’s just me.

Exactly...MT's last about 2-3k miles tops and that is being easy on them. I would run them at the track but for the street overall I don't think you can do much better then a 555r for price, traction, and wear. The 888's are a step up but the price reflects it too.
