10 second street build! help me out!

hey guys,

i'm looking to build my car to not only drive on the weekends, but track it once in a blue moon.

I wanted to build a procharged setup, but unsure what additional modifications would be needed with a d1 / f1 setup to get me in the 10's. i drive a 2ss, so Would I also need to upgrade the fuel system, internals, bottom end, etc? i'd like to be 650/750 wheel. I'm VERY inexperienced since this is my first muscle car, but I'm loving it as a FBO e85 build. just looking to take it to the next step! anyone with guidance on the best way into the 10's i'd love to hear it!

thanks,

If you want 10 seconds the maggie or the whipple will almost get you there alone with no additional mods.. If you wanted to run an F1X your gonna need to upgrade the fuel system which is $$$. Even if you went to the LT4 system with an F1X it would be severely downtuned. General consensus is 700 whp is the stock blocks limit. 2nd rule right about 600 ish give or take whp the stock fuel system will need to be upgraded to go further. A maggie or whipple + your bolts ons will get you into the 10's tho for the money and the result its a good deal.

Regardless of which blower you pick your going to have to do the fuel system if you plan on staying with e85.

You can easily run a 2300 or 2650 Magnuson and run high 10s on the stock fuel system. I did that with a Rotofab and drag pack and a slight change from Magnuson canned tune with 2300 Heartbeat. Had to do that because of the CAI. I went 10.82@129.88 and had no other mods. Any additional mods may require a fuel system upgrade.

These cars don't take to much to get in the 10s these days. We can set you up with a Whipple, Magnuson, Procharger or and ECS kit that will get you there (at the best price). If you were looking at the Procharger system already check out the ECS kits. A lot of stuff that comes included in their kit are options on the Procharger kit. Any kit with a few supporting mods and maybe a fuel pump upgrade will get you there.
