Some of us have waited too long to add on another 4-6 months and miss the summer of 17. Heck I was hoping to have one last october but us Canadians got skipped.
Hoping the M6 in the ZL1LE is the same as the current one the ZL1 is using. If so I believe that the M6 has been under rated on purpose to make the A10 shine. When really they are near identical 0-60,1/4,track, roll race. A10 has top end gearing to hit 200mph, consistencey, remote start, rarity(1st of its kind) but loses out on MPG, price, reliability(Again, 1st of its kind), engagment factor(love the reward of being in the zone) I am attempting to switch my order to an M6 now, just because of this news. I believe the two choices are more identical then we imagined before. I feel I fell into the hype and strayed from what I know to love. My #1 reason for telling my salesman A10 was priority over M6 was performance and performance. Now that the gap is closing I have to be the customer that changes his mind last moment(hopefully there is still time to switch) |

Apologize if I missed it, but anyone else notice those are R spec G3s? Wonder if these will be closer to Trofeos in treadwear. A wider, stickier rear would certainly hook up better, but not necessarily be the better tire for most situations I am in.

Life is too short to be holding out for better model cars. A guy I went to high school with just passed this week at 40 years old. You never know what day will be your last. Gotta get out there and enjoy life while you can. Just my take

You can't buy them today, as I know...they were developed specifically for this car. It's Goodyear's first entry into this class of tire, I think.

Pretty sure I read earlier that it has been re-geared and optimized. Don't know what that means, but I'm sure in the next few months we'll get all the dirty details.

Enough of this friends... I agree with b4z with the exception that they could bring out the A10 at a later date?? Hard for me to believe they would not give this option how well it has performed. Surely If this is indeed the replacement of the Z28, then we are looking at a more of niche market vs the ZL1's most of us will lean towards as a daily driver & occasional track day. Although I'm really diggin it tied to the ZL1, sorta wish it was labeled the Z28. That sub forum may get quiet. Also sorta surprised they didn't attempt to get this car in with the Fifty line up. Maybe just silly, but I feel this 50yr deal gives another feather in our hat for the standard ZL1. |

There's a reason the standard ZL1 wheels don't quite push out to the edges of the car....they designed the front fenders and rear track with this car in mind. |

Dilemma... do I cancel my current order, suffer through one more season with my GT3, buy this race ready version (3 seconds is a LOT) and be ready for 2018.? And yes, I know, there will always be faster iron...

I'm a ZL1 owner, not a Z/28 owner so my thoughts are somewhat biased. Many Z/28 guys I talk with pride themselves with how single purpose the car is. They don't need all the creature comforts and see them as somehow making the car soft. I almost think calling this a Z/28 would be sacrilege to the Z/28 namesake. I think it really should have been called ZL1.R or maybe just ZL1 with the Z07 package. The "ZL1 1LE" is just confusing. If you merge a ZL1 with a 1LE you don't get this. The 1LE sits below the standard ZL1 so it seems almost like it's a downgrade (in name). But who cares about semantics, I just want numbers and an allocation so I can order the darn thing... |
