Just got off the phone with them. Don't sell a retrofit kit "IMHO stupid" to go from regular to BG. They did say there was no need to go to the BG unless you are over 700RWHP. They did suggest if I was going to a 103 TB to purchase a 4.25" straight coupler to make the regular CAI work with the upgraded TB. Part #10132048, $29.95. Not listed on their website. Figure I would list it here, if anyone was interested.

I know the actual brand new assembly only comes with the oiled filter, but they definitely sell the dry filter as a $69 replacement part.

I’d like to see that coupler if anyone here gets one. If it’s truly a straight thru set up using the coupler with standard Rotofab it might be worth doing over switching to BG.

I got a followup email from them which indicated the part will be on the website in the near future. So maybe this is something new in their product line.

I put a Big Gulp on my 2020 ZL1 with the stock throttle body. FYI, the BG kit does not come with a coupling to fit the stock throttle body. I had to order it from RotoFab and wait for it to come in while my stock intake was off of the car. Took almost a week to come in. I get it that to get the most benefit from the BG that you need to have a larger throttle body. However, a lot of people don't get around to adding a 103mm TB until later down the road. To me, a stock coupling should be included in the kit. That really pissed me off when I went to install the BG on my car and found out the supplied coupling was too big.

This works the other way around. Its meant for high HP applications. Its not meant to attach to the stock size. This is the entire reason they have the smaller one. Even with a 103mm TB on a relatively stock car it does nothing. Your car isnt going to use anymore airflow then it can handle, and the 4" rotofab is more then plenty.

I don't disagree with you. However, what does it hurt to put a stock size coupling in the kit just in case it's needed? As I said, some people may not have the 103mm TB on the car yet. IMO RotoFab should include this coupling in the kit to cover this instance. Eventually I am going to go with a 103mm TB and a ported stock blower, but right now I have the stock TB.

5th bullet under the product on the website says:
"Standard hardware for this system includes a 5” to 4 ¼“ hose coupler for larger throttle bodies. 4” adapter is sold separately for the factory throttle body."

But yeah, I agree with you they could spend the extra $2 and include the stock coupling or be a little more obvious about needing to buy the option on the product page.
