Paint Diffuser or Not

I have a 2010 SS in victory red. I have just about all my parts for some cosmetic changes but there's one item I haven't decided what to do with yet.

1. I just bought Factory Flow Form Z28 Replicas and had them finished gloss black which are arriving today
2. ZL1 side skirts victory red on top and bottom half painted gloss black
3. ZL1 grill
4. Going to remove the SLP splitter and have it painted gloss black to match the side skirts
5. ACS rear quarter extensions will be painted gloss black
6. Tail light trim in gloss black
7. Anvil spoiler painted gloss black

I'm debating whether to paint the 1LE diffuser gloss black or just leave it raw. I'm leaning towards painting it.

What do you forum members think?

One new wheel arrived. Hopefully the other 3 aren't far behind.

I'd say, leave it. The amount of dust- road dirt from driving won't let it look gloss for long.

It's a garage queen. No rain, always clean.

I did something similar and painted the splitter, skirts, spoiler, etc. gloss black; I also plan to paint the diffuser one day but haven't done so yet, so can't provide any pics. With that said, I say dooo iiit! It'll bring everything together instead of the diffuser being kinda the "odd one out".

That's what I was thinking. Everything will be similar just like the c5 Z28, c7 vette, and I noticed a lot of the c6 camaros have gloss black parts versus the raw black.

Sounds like she is gonna look really cool!! I would opt to paint the diffuser gloss and have it all match. I'm going to get a new one and have it painted as well, can't do this one because there is way too much protectant and shine enhancer on it, it soaks into the plastic, but it looks good and easy to clean. If you do paint it gloss, I would put a coat of ceramic on it for longevity and extended gloss retention.

Yes I think she'll be sharp. I never intended to keep it this long but now I don't plan on selling it so going to make some changes. I'll keep all the stock parts for the future. I have a few other detail pieces to change. I want the bow ties black so bought some vinyl decals so I'll see how that works. Chevy bow tie center caps for the wheels and new LED DRL bulbs.

One change which I will probably also do are lowering springs but I want to see how it sits after the new wheels are on. It's only money.
