Unhappy roof ditch ends are broken

I only have 3800 miles on my 2013 LT1 and the roof ditch ends are all broken.
I will be going to the local dealer as soon as I get the p-zero's back on so the tpms sensors can be reset at the same time.
Yes I know the car is dirty.
The second pic looks like there is damaged, I had to go take another look, but it must be the glare.

Anyone else have issues with the roof ditch?

back to the dealer or body shop

Did you buy the car used? That car looks like it was repainted with the window out of it and whoever did it didn't put the car back together properly,it looks like the ditch was ruined because the end was sticking up when the paint was buffed out, paint is worn down to the primer on one of your photos. I Hope you get it straightened out !

Car is New

The second picture, that looks like the paint is damaged, is just glare. I had to go back out and look at the car again after I uploaded the pictures.

The car was purchased new last September and it hasn't been repainted.

Granted, mine is a 2010, so it's older - but I just noticed the same thing on mine the other day - actually the one on the drivers side in the front is missing. Wonder if they can be replaced or if you have to do the whole thing. Obviously I'm out of warranty. If you don't put new ones on can it cause any other problems?

I'm wondering if this is unique to the RS models with the color matched ditch moldings or whether the standard black moldings are prone to this?

Ahhh, so not unique to RS....10-4...I noticed on ours that there is a detectable, albeit a faint seam at the ends of the moldings. I suppose all of them will eventually fail. I'm now wondering if this fracturing at the ends is the result of freezing with moisture underneath or just normal weathering, wind, and sun exposure that leads to the seams coming apart? I don't suppose any of you that are experiencing this has had a windshield replaced?

I've only had my car for about a month - purchased used. I did notice it looked like it was coming apart a few weeks in, then last weekend I was giving her a wash and wax, and noticed the one is completely gone :( I guess I'll check to see if they can be replaced - hopefully not the whole ditch cover. If you happen to get any news / info and can keep us posted, that'd be great.

Thumbs up dealer has parts ordered

Finally took car to dealer to look at the roof ditch molding. They have the parts ordered and will call when they come in for install.
I waited to to take the car in until the summer tires/wheels were put back on. They always reset the tpms sensors for free.

I will update with new pictures after they are installed.

Hey -thanks for the update. I haven't checked back on this post in a bit and was glad to see you were able to get that taken care of. Do you know if they have to replace the whole strip or just the ends?

As I mentioned, mine is out of warranty, so I just wonder how much $$ it would end up being to get mine fixed. It's probably not a big deal, but knowing that it's missing bothers me because I'm OCD like that lol
