Replacing Suspension

So I looked throughout the forum because I remember seeing something awhile back about struts going out at 40k miles or something to that effect. So I have 74k miles on my 2012 ZL1 and it's starting to feel a bit soft on the road. The car seems likes it's a little too bounce happy. I know that people had made mention to the AC Delco parts on Amazon once bfore, but I want to make sure I know what to purchase or whether it's best to just take it to the dealership. I thought the suspension for these cars could only be replaced at a dealership...is that correct? I know when I changed my brakes there was a little grease around the shocks at 62k miles. Just looking for a little insight to save a few bucks. Obviously the intent is to keep my magnetic ride intact.

You can change the suspension yourself... I did the fronts when putting on camber plates

The rear is a little more involved due to the pins and connectir having to come apart... But there is a write up on it

I bought mine from Amazon, but be careful, different years have different part numbers and don't forget about alignment.

I had a bit of oil on my rear shocks, did not look too bad.
But when I took them out...
Much/most of the fluid had left the shocks and was under the dust covers.
Plan on cleaning them out.

I installed front and rears with a friend in the garage.
Purchased at an excellent price from Cultrag:

The write-ups on the forums are excellent.
Particularly how to de-pin the rear weather packs.

Suspension Mods can be done outside the Dealership - by you, if you have the Tools & Skill. Otherwise a competent shop.
