Thanks all for the feedback. I ended up ordering new tires, Michelin AS3+; since there is a chance I'll be relocating out west in the next year or so. They will hopefully address the roughness issue. In the meantime, if any of you runflat lovers want the OEM tires, you know where to find me

Just curious, are you using the Recaro racing seats or the standard bucket seats? I have the standard (I wanted kalahari interior) and haven't noticed anything too uncomfortable.

This thread blows my mind. I’ve owned 8 different sports/muscle cars from 4 different decades, and this one is definitely the smoothest riding one yet. It’s super comfortable over rough New England roads too. I am very curious as to your issue with your car. I hope you figure it out soon, and are able to correct it. I also hope you let us know what it was! Inquiring minds... 🤔

I have a 2SS with mag ride(not 1LE). I think the ride quality is pretty damn smooth considering the insanely high handling limits. This is coming from someone who is used to AMG cars. It's amazing what GM accomplished with the ride/handling balance on these Alpha+MRC cars. The noise, yeah it is pretty terrible. Pebbles hitting the wheel well liners are insanely loud.

I didn't drive a SS with run-flats (only drove some used ones which had different tires on) and I thought the ride was really quiet in the cabin. As quiet as my 2018 Camry Hybrid, minus the exhaust of course. I was really surprised and even noted how much quieter it was on the freeway to the girlfriend.
Granted, run flats may make a huge difference. So I will see when my 2021 arrives! |

I don't get any complaints from the family except about the back seat sometimes in my ZLE.

Approximately one year ago I upgraded to my current vehicle, a 2019 SS 1LE, from a 2018 1SS. While the ride quality of the 2018 1SS was good, the ride quality of the 2019 SS 1LE is great! As others have said, MRC is worth every penny of its asking price, even if you plan to keep the vehicle long-term (i.e., 10+ years) and have to replace the struts/absorbers at a premium.
