All supplier codes are good for 90 days. All GM employees have a supplier/friends discount they can give away every month. So if you know anyone that works for GM they should be able to set you up.

Did you talk with Rydell.. They were not discounting on A10. I don't know about A6.

You need to make sure the dealer will honor it first..... not all of them do....

I called and they said that they would. Why wouldn't they want to accept it?

Some like to put a mark-up on them so Supplier pricing would make it messy for them. I'm sure they have their own reasons as well but it's a huge red flag to me and I'd find another dealer.

Looks like you are good to go..

At the time you go to the dealer for delivery. Just give them the code prior to the finance person working up the paperwork

Can you explain only 50... not sure what you're referring to.

Sticker with all options, gas guzzler, Freight, delivery, etc was $67,500. I have family member who got me a GM employee discount. The discount saved me $5,100. But I bought the extended warranty for 2K. Then tax, license and all that crap, and i was back to about 70K.

And my dealer had no problem with the employee discount here in the bay area. Your dealer invoice even list the supplier discount and the employee discount. (Discounts next to red arrows)

You can also see the shipped date, and expected delivery date. Your dealer has lots of info if they are willing to pass it along.

For the vehicle itself I think it was around 64k(PDR, sunroof, CF hood, Cargo net(laaaame) and fiftieth edition car cover)

Saving a few thousand sounds like something I'd like to do. Sadly, my GM family member passed away many, many years ago and I have no friends...
Somebody want to adopt me?

Depending on who your family member was, they have a Legacy Program that you can sign up for.

I did a little research when my dealer would not accept my supplier discount. Apparently some or all of the discount comes from their margin. They get more money not honoring it and they might not honor it if they think you do not have other options.

Actually the dealer is not out anything from my understanding, at least not in the long run. GM is supposed to reimburse the discount to the dealers. If the vehicle is ordered for the customer, it comes straight off the dealer invoice, unless I misunderstood my friend who is a manager at my local dealer.

That is great help. Unfortunately, it was a grandfather. I would have been able to use the program while grandmother was still around, but she passed as well. That leaves the siblings able to use the program, but their children are left out at that point. Thanks for the lead!

I think I'll see if the Costco program will work around here...
