Coated Header or Noweeeds Diverting system

Another mod in the works, Having a hard time choosing between the two. I want to gain a significant amount of power but also increase the fierce sound of the ZL1.

Headers fo sho. Specifically the Pfadt headers on the ZL1. Outstanding quality, great gains, and you don't have to cut the under tray.

Send a message via AIM to omegaman
Install the headers first. And if you want more sound from your exhaust, install the Mild To Wild remote switch ($90).

Headers for sure! But I would skip the coating personally.. Feel free to call, PM or email me with questions or for pricing. We have a few promotions going currently.

Curious why you would you skip the coating? I'm considering putting headers on my car and thought coating them would not only improve appearance (especially longterm) but also reduce some heat generation. Is this not true?

It looks good yes, and will reduce under-hood temps by a little bit, but that doesn't really translate toward any sort of gain. IMO, save the $200+ and put that toward other mods. But in the end it's your car and to each their own.

Best regards,

Tyler
