Auto or Manual?
Touring or Sports Mode?
Spirted Driver?
Elevation?
Do you deal with alot of Stop and Go traffic?

What you're doing wrong is expecting a Camaro to be an economy car... the Camaro is a heavy car in all trims...

You are definitely doing something wrong because my V8 does better than that. Sounds like you are not very gentle with the throttle. Either that or traffic on your drives are always bad.

City and stop and go driving kills it for gas. My 2021 LT1 A10 got around 9mpg with my driving 4 miles to work and back in heavy stop and go. Even all my C6's get around 14.5 in the city. Plus i am always on the hammer so tat don't help.

Sounds off. I'm in Maryland and average 22-23 mpg overall with a V8 with 8 speed auto. How long are your drives? Is 'around town' rush hour? Tire pressures good?

I get about 18 to 20 mpg in my 6.2 6spd.
If I get less it means I had even more fun on empty roads
Who buys a Camaro for mpg :(

Dang, that is terrible. My driving is all suburbs, 7 miles to work, no highway. I get consistent 19 MPG on 91 and 15 MPG on E, +1 in the winter with little AC use. My car has the listed mods on V8/A8. Wife's minivan get worse mileage.

In the same driving conditions my C5 corvette (also modded but no E) got 20 MPG

stop and go will really kill it. If you do alot of short trips, that will also kill it.

At the strip I use 1/4 tank of gas minimum in 4-6 runs while on E85

On street on E85: I get 16-18mpg according to in car gauge which I figure is about 12-13 mpg actual in touring

On street on 93: I get closer to 23mpg average actual

I drive 350 miles/week for work, in a mix of highway and city with a mix of mild to heavy traffic

Before my mods I got about the same.

I would figure the V6's would do better.

So as others have said, probably heavy foot heavy traffic most of the time for you.

Another thing I notice about in car gauges. You can't rely on that for accuracy. Even sitting still drops your mpg, or not driving the car for a while on the same tank of gas. ( In other words, if you go 2-4 weeks on the same tank of gas, your mpg gauge in car will be way down - aka short distance drives)
