You can't retrofit it at a realistic cost. You would be looking at 4 new shocks, suspension parts, sensors, module and aftermarket reprogramming (if it's even available). Very expensive overall IMO.

Go to Settings > Driving Mode, if you see a Suspension menu item, you have MRC.

Other ways to verify are the window sticker, the option code list in the door jamb will include F55 if you have it (your 2017 will also have a full RPO sticker in the trunk, unlike cars built after 2018, GM must have saved 50 cents by not including it), finally, you can check directly for ride height sensor hardware under the car, see below.

I purchased a '16 in '18 and it was on my list of wants. There is a noticeable difference, how noticeable is debatable. The real headache is replacement cost. In 2020 my front driver side seized and I replaced both front and it was EXPENSIVE. Yes, I had the dealer do it. Yes, I could have done it myself (still very expensive). I just didn't have the time and the car is my DD.

I suspect anything is possible at a cost. Oh and props for doing a search and not opening a new thread.

I have MRC in my SS Sedan and love toggling between tour and sport. It makes enough of a difference and it's nice to have the option available via a turn of a dial. Not sure if it would be cost efficient to have a knob installed to have the same options. I'd personally look for a car that has it installed from the factory, if it's that important to you because you figure if you have it installed aftermarket, there's a greater chance that it not get installed correctly.

I wished I could have got MRC in my LT1, I would have paid for it. I had it in my CTS-Vsport (also Alpha chassis) and where I noticed it the most was on sweeping turns on broken pavement. It was just so planted, the crappy pavement would not unsettle it even as the suspension was loaded up from the sweeping curve.

This effect happens in all the drive mode settings. You'd really need a non-MRC car against a MRC car on a road like I described to make a judgement on the difference. MRC gets fantastic writeups by automotive journalists for a reason.

I have owned a 6th gen 2016 2SS that had it and an A10 ZL1. And also a 2015 M6 ZL1 with it. In the 2015 It could have been likely bugs in MRC that caused GM to buy that Camaro back.

My answer to the question is no.
