Gotta love those Georgia winters

Best one I've had yet.

Couple of our beaters in the background.
1996 Monte Carlo we bought new. 210,000+ miles.
2001 Grand Prix at 208,000+ miles. Both run great.

Also in our stable is a 2016 Lexus GS350 AWD, 2008 Lincoln MKZ, 2005 2500HD Crew Cab Duramax and my daughters 2010 Ford Edge. We also have an unlicensed 1986 Pontiac Trans Am my wife bought new in '86.

Yes, I have a problem... We get attached to them and just can't seem to let them go. They are all paid for and we carry only liability insurance on the older ones. They make great beaters when the weather is bad and so cheap to maintain.

Thanks for the advice!! I just put these new all seasons tires on a few weeks ago....... My gut told me to go with the winter tires and I didn't......If I decide to keep it, I will definitely switch them out to Winters this Fall!

I had a 2002 Liberty LTD for close to 180k miles, and it treated me very well. Put some BFG TA KO tires on it and laugh at the snow.

Can you even get into or out of the Camaro when the "beater" is parked on her left?

Yep, if the beater is as far left as possible. And I’m slender.

This must have been missed by everyone in this thread... You drive an 11 year old Gallardo-engined Audi as a winter beater... With 188k miles, nonetheless.
Kudos to you, that is awesome.

(had to make this my first post, haha)

From post #20, winter beater served its purpose.

Camraro reborn before painting now shown... At least she got some shiny new headlights!
