Spark Plug Questions

Okay, I have the NGK 6510’s (waiting to be put in). I’m wondering what gap I should go with for just optimal performance with no tune. Only thing I have in my car is a Mishimoto CAI. I’ve asked before but only got one answer but I’m trying to know the correct gap for just a CAI added on.

Should I go with the stock gap or what? What would happen if I went to a tighter gap than stock without a tune?

There is zero need to adjust gap until you tune.

.030" for stock tuner, .026-28 once making more boost over stock is a good rule of thumb for those.

So .030” for stock tune? Does the CAI intake count as more boost? To which I should gap it at .026-28?

No .030 is fine until you actually tune the vehicle

Last edited by Thandel; 05-24-2019 at 06:09 PM. Reason: Because .30 would be bad
