Lol... this reminded me I have had one tucked away for at least nine years. I went out to the garage and found it tucked way in the back of one of my cabinets. Right next to it, a box of the Amazing Shamwow's! No joke.
Refresher to the Shamwow

Do you have to use the soap it comes with? Will it work the same (no spotting) if you use other car washing soap?

IF you happen to have salt water fish tank and make you own DI water.. you already have source of rinse water.. albeit slow, fill garden sprayer ahead of time. 4-stage... about $100.

Im not sure. I am going to try it both ways, but there are plenty of filters and soap on ebay. I dont think the soap should matter its the filter that does the work I think.

I have a blue Camaro and never had issues with cleaning it.
I picked up a black GMC and ended up doing several changes to my cleaning approach. I tried the Mr. Clean, but it still left lots of visible "dry" spots. I think the water flow was too low. I finally purchased a "simple chuck" and haven't looked back. plenty of flow for a pressure washer or just hose spray. Resin lasted 1.5 years on the first batch. |

Simple Chuck is the new Mr. Clean!
Quote:
+1 on the "Simple Chuck"... just got mine a few weeks ago and love it! The advertisements are correct, you can literally wash the car, rinse it with the water from Simple Chuck and walk way. No water spots at all!

Silica rinseless washes are much, much better, and easier to do. Once the car is clayed, polished and coated properly with some type of Silica sealant or coating, it is a breeze to take care of.

I was going to recommend the CR Spotless systems, basically a large semi-industrial version of the product in the OP.
