I"m in the process of joining the "Hot Wheels" club. In the process of ordering a fully loaded 2SS model.

I was curious as to what the overall "demand" will be for these cars. Is there a specific maximum number of Hot Wheels cars that will be made or will GM make as many as are ordered.

Has anyone heard of overall demand for these cars - in particular if demand exceeds supply. I'm hearing from dealers they can't get enough of them to satisfy demand but of course I would say the same if I was selling them lol.

There were only 1524 made of the 2013 Hot Wheels, production was for six months. I talked with Adam Barry (he is the designer of Special Editions at GM), he said they are not limiting the orders to a specific number, just that it is order based. That being, they were ramping up the production slowly....for instance there were only five verts for the first week of ordering, and not too many more so far for ordering.

Now on the other hand the 2017 50th Anniversary SE's there were nearly 6000 built, however their production run was longer....so we will not know how many until a few months after they stop production. Another thing that will raise the number produced is that they made Indy500 Festival cars (verts)...think they usually make 64 of them....maybe you should try to get one of them

My TPW date is Monday 4.9.18. Getting so close. Is there a way to "track" the progress? I have a number associated with my TPW. Is there a way to look this up somewhere with GM?

Hound Dawg! Congrats on your pending TPW. There are several ways to track the progress:
1) Dealer can track and update you on the progress
2) You can call the GM customer service line and ask to track based on your order number
3) You can go to the Tracking thread here http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=415251 on Camaro6 and ask Becky to search the tracking number and status...just make sure to provide your order number each time you ask. The tracking thread also has a listing of what each of the tracking code numbers mean.

Anyone in here trade a 2013 hot wheels to get their new one? Im trying to find a 2ss M6 (hot wheels edition of course) and they are harder to find than I thought. There is one in Houston BUT who ever had it really trashed it out. I mean it smelled like animals were living inside it LOL, still I almost got it anyway because I know they are rare. just checking to see if theres one at a dealer somewhere

Check out the 2013 Hot Wheels SE Group on Facebook, the owners often post there first if they are intending on selling. Just send an admin a PM telling them why you are requesting to join the group...as it is for owners only.

And no...am not selling/trading mine...plus it is an Auto (just a tad faster at the drag strip than a manual ...not including driver skill)...

On Becky's thread 88countach had one he was trading in but you'll have to go to Toronto Canada to get it.

Yup. On all the 50HW. The biggest part of the price difference between the H50 option price ($1,750) and the Hot Wheels option price ($4,995).
