ALL Elite cans come apart for disassembly. The E2-X series is the same design as the can in that video. If you start at the 17 minute mark you can see the guy take it apart as well to show.

Yes, we stand by our claim that there is no more effective design on the market period, and that was done by a tech promoting Moroso, until he did the test that is. That is Moroso's best most expensive and we trap app. 3 times as much.

And ALWAYS dispose of what is caught properly in any approved oil recycling location.
What is that curved wrench he uses to hold the fitting at the top of the can when he’s trying to open it?? Do you guys sell that?

Part number is. 12679527 - Gasket kit. Cost $89.74 on gmparts.com. It comes with a new supercharger lid gasket if you want to replace yours when you take your lid off (but you don’t need to).

The supercharger lid bolts don’t need to be replaced. Just be careful and make sure you’re paying attention when you’re torquing them. I bought those from a different website, I’m gonna have to look around for the address.

Do you happen to know the torque spec for those bolts?

Thanks and good luck with the marathon!

Take a screen shot on your phone of the post below and save it on your phone (for future reference) that’s what I did. Torque specs and torque sequence are on there.

Thanks for putting that up again waterman.

Angry, here is the link for the supercharger cover bolts. I changed mine to these because they looked nicer then the stock bolts.

Thank you for the well wishes on the marathon. I’m loving the training process so far. Running is my new form of meditation, it’s keeping me from coming on here and spending more money on car parts hahaha.

I put mine up on the thermostat in front of the engine. Plenty of clearance there and away from the heat of the exhaust.

I met my wife while training for a marathon (actually half marathon) here in SF.

I was a runner for almost 20 years until someone hit me on my motorcycle and broke both my kneecaps... Now I have constant pain. Most activities are bearable, I can even suffer through running a mile, but if I try to run more than once a week the inflammation in my knees accumulates and becomes unbearable...

So enjoy it!

(Sorry for the depressing story)

What is the difference between the Elite catch cans? I went on their website to order and there are many options. DO I need a 2 hoser or a 3 hoser? Does it come with a SC gasket?
I can smell oil burning since I did my mods(ported SC, 103 TB,9.55 pulley,5" big gulp)...hoping the catch can will illuminate the issue.

I put mine as shown on the picture. I did, however, have the two pieces of the bracket welded together underneath to prevent the bracket from rotating, due to only having one bolt. The bracket stays secure against the strut tower, because it is up against the washer on the other bolt.
