Glad nobody was hurt. Were you on the stock tires? I discovered the other day that on a cold day, even at 65 in third gear you can definitely kick the rear end out if you jump on it and change lanes at the same time.

No they were about 80% worn General Gmax. I may have pulled it down into 4th in anticipation of the jump, can't remember, but I definitely put too much spur to her and that is exactly what happened, my ass tried to pass me on the left.

Ouch.
My least favorite thing is getting caught behind semis in the rain. Could have been much worse OP. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Insurance company will more than likely do that for you. |

One dick move doesn't warrant another dick move. Glad you're OK. Be safe there are bunches of idiots out there.

Glad you’re ok and back in the saddle so quick. What happened to you is pretty damn easy / common in these cars, especially with worn tires in the rain. I just hope that the mustang cars and coffee guys don’t get their hands on this!!

Glad you're ok, but dang that looks like a close call for a serious injury. If the pillar struck 1 foot nearer the front of the car, it looks like it would've destroyed that door and maybe pushed into the cabin.

For sure! When those pillars started coming into view I was like 'Oh sh*t, oh sh*t, oh sh*t' right to the point I could tell I wasn't going to hit it head on.

Really fortunate you were able to walk away, and I’m glad you’re back in the Camaro fold again so soon!

No matter how wide the tires are, a wet surface can be bad news.
I like the new pillows though. Looks very comfy! |

Worn out ones. The inspection report from the insurance adjuster said the backs measured 3/32L and 2/32R. I had looked at them a couple weeks earlier and knew they were getting close but didn’t realize I needed them now. It wasn’t the tires fault. It was all me. Too much throttle and steering input for the wet conditions.
