Hood water diverter removed
Hello all, I have removed the water diverter to fit the Cordes Expansion tank. I’m wondering if I rinse off my car with water if there can be any damage under the hood? Or will it just get wet and dry off with a drive? Any help is appreciated.

Mine has been removed for a long time now and whenever I wash my car i put a chamois in the crevis from the topside. It catches most of the water then I pop the hood and wipe the rest.

Yep, I’ll post it up tonight. Honestly I’m so stoked by the whole build and so happy I didn’t go too far.

Been removed since day 1, I don't really worry about covering it up

Also removed day one and I have never covered during washing with no issues.

That’s great news. I plan on doing a rinse off tomorrow to get the thick dust off and then I’ll do full detail Friday.

To the folks that have removed theirs (and there seem to be quite a few), what is the advantage of taking it off? Better under-hood cooling? More of the supercharger whine?
I am just curious as to why you would take off the water deflector if it was not interfering with something else under the hood.

Yep. I have noticed on my areoforce gauges that, on long road trips my engine runs a few degrees cooler, and cools down a bit more quickly when I have it removed.
