Its crazy that one must use wire ties to hold their $65,000 to $70,000 dollar car together.

Mine went straight to service when i bought it cause i noticed that on passenger side. They fixed it, 2 weeks later the drivers side did it. So i just left it.

I was on the bubble between leaving it and attempting a simple fix. I would’ve done the same as you did if I noticed it before pickup too! Fortunately it seems to be pretty easy to pull in so I’m not too worried about it now (did bug the crap out of me before I popped the tail light though!)

Ours does it when it sets in the sun. It's definitely heat related.

This is also an issue on my SS 1LE. I've been too lazy to worry about it, but the ziptie method looks promising!

Just a note, I’ve done this on both sides now and it’s held up in both the heat and cold. Seems to be better than watching a dealer try haha...

Thanks for the update! I still need to get this done. With temps in the 90s now I keep noticing the issue. Bugs me!

Yup, 18 ZL1 here....after some hard driving in the heat the same thing happens. Once it cools down they sink back in. Crazy.....thought it was just me.

Remove the tail light and you will see that just under it are the tabs that the rear bumper hang on. These tabs do not hold the bumper tight enough, so we are going to help it a little.

Use a couple of tie wraps on the inside edge of the tabs and pull tightly while someone holds the bumper into the right alignment spot. Those tie wraps will pull the bumper into place and hold it into the right spot. (see below)

Put the sucker back together and behold your properly aligned bumper for your very expensive Camaro!

Mine is slightly sticking out, but no where near as bad at depicted above. Not enough that I think it's worth trying to fix it. Probably do more annoying damage trying to fix it than if I leave it alone.
