Lower 1le with Stock MagnaRide

I just got the car 2 weeks ago and I have seen a lot of people talking about the adjustability with the manga ride suspension. I wanted to see if there was a way to lower the suspension through a controller or would I have to lower it with some springs?

You need to use lowering springs... I've got a Mag Ride 2SS (non-1LE) and just put 1LE wheels/tires on it, I am planning to install some Eibach lowering springs in the next month or so to close up the fender gap a bit...

The Eibach is a great option. They are made for the SS/1LE

Springs for show. Coilovers for go.

The only thing that raises and lowers suspension is air springs.

I don't think he was asking about raising and lowering the suspension, I think he was asking is there a way to lower the car in the software using just Mag Ride controls, which there is not, putting lowering springs on your car isn't going to "ruin your suspension"...

Has anybody experienced any suspension codes after installing the lowering springs? I’m thinking of installing a set, but have read comments of suspension codes after install

Damn, I must be getting old. My 1LE and ZL1 are already low enough that I worry about hitting things on the road or scraping the bottom on driveway cuts, speed bumps and the like. I definitely don't want it any lower.

If you change the ride height on a magnaride equipped car, then it is recommended to have the ride height reset electronically to zero. A dealership can do it or you can do it yourself with something like a DSC Sport Controller.

Thats the only reason I haven't lowered mine. The parking garage to my work is steep enough that I have to go in super slow at an angle to not scrape. My driveway at home is bad too and I had to buy a curb ramp and I just barely clear. Any lower and I wouldn't be able to get to work OR home lol.

I've always wanted to lower my 1LE maybe .5-1"

I haven't because my driveway is a tad too steep. But additionally, I now run square 19x11 wheels for the track. With the amount of front poke, there's no chance I'd get away with lowering it without beating the shit out of my fenders.

For me, stock height it is!
