Dyno results - '22 LT1, CAI, 95mm TB, LT2 IM, Flex fuel

I took my car to get dynod today and wanted to share the results. Another data point to add to the forums

The car is a 2022 LT1 M6 with simple bolt ons
  • CAI cold air intake
  • 95mm TB
  • LT2 intake manifold (not ported 87mm opening)
  • Flex fuel kit

I put some graphs below but the highlights are
Stock: 396 hp, 402 tq
Modifications pre-tune: 412 hp, 410 tq
After tune, E85: 462 hp, 456 tq

I'm pretty happy with how the numbers came out. I did an email tune from Livernois and had no problems with the process

The first graph is the stock dyno run. The second graphs has runs with modifications on, before and after the tune. All the runs were different days but the same dyno. I'm hoping these pictures don't post upside down

Wow, seems like a very impressive jump in power! And without moving the curves much, if at all.

Would you mind saying roughly how much the upgrades ended up costing you?

Wow, great bump in the torque curve too! That is the kind of tune I want, something I can feel in every day driving.

There's a difference between how much horsepower the engine makes at the crankshaft and how much actually makes it through the drive line to the rear wheels to be measured by the dyno.

396 at the wheels is about in line for a stock car.

Because his HP numbers are at the wheels and not the crank. 455 is crank HP.

Correct, I haven't touched any of the exhaust components at all yet

I put a list below. Some stuff had taxes/shipping costs but I didn't include that in my numbers. These are what I paid at the time

Cold air intake - $347 (Black Friday deal) - https://www.rpidesigns.com/shop/item...intake-system/
LT2 intake manifold - $180 - https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...446433&jsn=273
Throttle body - $179 - https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...357372&jsn=273
Flex fuel kit - $205 (Memorial Day deal?) - https://wildhammermotorsports.com/16...it-wildhammer/
Throttle body adapter - $45 - https://zzperformance.com/products/l...279cea38&_ss=r
Livernois tuning tool - $599 - https://www.livernoismotorsports.com...-ss-6-2l-tuner
Then figure about $50 for accessories like MAP extension harness, brake booster fitting, etc

It comes out to $1605. This is my first time adding it up and that sounds pretty cheap to me

It's mostly basic bolt ons so I did all the install myself. I also did the modifications to the intake manifold myself to make it fit

The Livernois tool cost $600 to buy and the email tune was free. My understanding is that future email tunes are free as well with the tool. Dyno tunes I'm sure are extra. I'm tuned right now for 93 or E85

What fuel were you on for the dyno session? How much did the dyno session/tuning cost you?

I was on E85 for the dyno but I don't have a gauge in my car to read the actual ethanol percent. I did the tune through email, it was free with the tuning tool. The dyno session was separate from the tune, I did that on my own at a local dyno for $125

Incredible bang for the buck. Helped by your own wrenching abilities, of course, but that's to your credit. Bravo!

This the best way to spend money on these NA cars without breaking the bank. Numbers are good and I bet you like it more with the extra ponies. Nice job!

Congrats on some great numbers, impressive. My 2022 Lt1 originally made 434/441 with tune and E85 sensor. I didn't do a stock dyno because my 16 SS made 395. My C7 made almost exactly the same on the same dyno and same tuner for the initial E85 install on both cars. We just tune on the dyno so my numbers are never relevant to what it runs at the track. Time for you to get to the drag strip and lay down some numbers.

Did they lock ECM tuning as well? My understanding is Livernois locks the ECM after tuning and if that is the case it means you can only get the car tuned by them.
