If they are planning for a Z/28, they are probably working on it already. There isn't much time left for the 6th gen for there to be a Z/28, if they aren't working on it already.

So I dont want to jump to any conclusions, but it sure is fun.... How easy would it be to change the new COPO 302 from drag racing duty to road course duty?

Yes, I know this COPO 302 is for racing purposes only and doesnt have to meet emissions standards, but one can dream!

A 302 tribute car for the 19 model year sounds like a winning package!!!

I remember people jumping down my throat about how stupid a small stroke motor would be. And here we are.

A 302 LTx would probably make mid 300s horsepower. That wouldn't cut it.

nah, They were making mid 300s with the 5.7L LT4 in 1996.

If they sacrifice fuel economy and utilize the higher revs, they could surprise us. I'm not sure that's where they will head though.

Yep, And I bet they are. Depending on how long they are planning to run the 2019 refresh before the 7th gen. I expect they are working on something now. The Corvette ZR-1 will debut soon with the LT5. I suspect we will see some test mules next year of the Z28 with a 2020 ish debut.
