Do the side skirts really help that much?

Definitely get the side skirts. They make a difference. Rockguards only catch part of the debris.

If you are looking to save on side skirts, I found the EOS ZL1 style side skirts fit very well on mine:

Looks good, how hard is the install on the side skirts? Also notice you got the Conti DWS06s, how do you like them? I'm debating around swapping on some more street appropriate rubber and also something I can drive year round

The install was easy. I put a screw at one end through the zl1 side skirt into the factory plastic rocker and used double sided tape the rest of the way. Almost 10k miles later and no issues, however it is advised to use rivets all the way through. I didn't want to put holes into the car when it was brand new, but if the tape starts to loosen I may look at doing rivits or a stronger / wider double sided tape.

I installed the DWS06+ within the first couple hundred miles on the car as I knew I wouldn't be tracking the car and didn't want to worry in the cold months, and I am very happy I made the change. They handle really well, and I can continue to drive the car year round as long as there is no salt / snow.

NICE! I looked all over, could not find one VOM without a sunroof. I got surprised by early order cutoff. I did find a 2024 Black 2SS 1LE with no sunroof about 1500 miles away, and had it shipped.

Swapped to Conti DWS06+ on Dec 8, due to cold climate. Currently getting Tint, full body PPF & ceramic including wheels and calipers. Just got ACS rockguards in today.

Haven't really considered side skirts, it's not going to be a daily. Has anyone done ppf on anything besides painted surfaces, such as the windshield? There are, a shitload of literal gravel trucks, and lifted trucks with tires far exceeding body width (and no mudflaps/rockguards to speak of.... seriously, **** those people)

Picked up this beauty on Dec 12th after a 3 month search for inventory builds. 24 2SS 1LE M6 in Red Hot. I'm kicking myself as to why I didn't buy this car ages ago. Here are some pics after doing a full body PPF. Owner of the shop had a 69 Z28. Couldn't pass up on the opportunity to take pics of the high performance NA versions of the same car 55 years apart!
