No..its not the $100 part. Trust me, you cannot buy the rear view camera separately. My guy at Chevy and I looked at his computer for over 30 minutes and couldn't find it separately.

Yes, it is also in the shark fin, but it's different than the bumper camera. The backup camera does not have the same electrical connection to plug into the mirror.

If you can get the shark fin part for less than the $170 I got my mine for, go for it, but it's not for individual resale.

Thx for that, I'm still looking for the shark fin camera or at least the complete fin....I don't think it will be less than $170, but i can hope. I appreciate the extension cable info and look forward to the switch!

Just some info on a switch. I purchased a 20' and a 10' Fakra Z cable extension, made 3 cables total, 2 for input and 1 out, 10' each. Connected male RCA cable ends and hooked everything to a RCA switch i made. Works perfectly. You can buy cheap RCA switches for well under $20 or make your own like i did. Just wanted to pass on what i did for a cheap easy switch.
