Recaro Seats - Alcantara Folding/Wrinkling

Hello All,

Got just under 10,000 miles on my 1LE and noticed that the driver seat bottom (center section, Alcantara) is starting to crease/fold over on itself a bit. I'm not too worried about it, but just wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing the same type of thing. I don't recall this happening over time with other Alcantara seat vehicles that my family has had in the past.

Thanks!

I'm only at 7K miles, but no wrinkling here, seats still look new.

That's interesting. I don't believe I have seen a car do this yet? Can you post a picture? I had 7k on my 17 1LE when I sold it and the seats still looked brand new. My 21 only has 1800 miles so of course they are brand new still.

Yea its pretty interesting, I will post a picture as soon as I can get to it. Its not bad and its only about 2 inches long coming off one of the "lines" in the center section of the seat, but I wonder if a stitch maybe popped or something.

I've attached some images to better describe what I'm talking about. It has gotten slightly worse since the picture and the wrinkles are getting closer to stretching all the way to the bolster. You think its worth asking for a new bottom seat cover or wait just before my warranty is about to go out?

Possible the "swing in" around the bolster is causing the material of the seat bottom to be pushed which is making it wrinkle...
IDK, just a theory by looking at how the material appears to be bunching up...
