Blackwing brake ducts and ABS Speed sensor wire

Hi, I just received the CT5 Blackwing brake ducts and was about to install them today when I noticed that the sharp back edge closest to the rotor was rubbing against what I believe is the ABS Speed sensor wire. I didn't see an easy way to relocate it so that it didn't rub, but maybe this is a non-issue and I'm overthinking it. Didn't see this mentioned anywhere so I thought I'd check with y'all and see if anyone ran into the same concern.

Thanks!

I didn’t notice any interference on my ZLE? Is this just an SS issue or do I need to get back in there?

OP, where did you source yours? I placed an order with my Chevy dealer but they said they’re on back order with no eta.

Thanks in advance!

Ended up using a small wire loom and a ziptie.

I would not fasten that ABS wire to the deflector. When you turn the steering it will be stressed. I did not fasten mine. You car is not an SS 1LE is it? I'm not seeing any MagRide wire. My SS 1LE is protected by a heat shield and that shielding will help protect it from the deflector edge. You did good with the wire loom, but I would run loom from where the wire connects to the strut the entire way down to the knuckle.

Something I also did was I smoothed off the sharp edge of the deflector where the ABS wire would touch, just to help it rub against it smoothly.

Perhaps that's the difference - my car is an SS without magride. I may go back and just loosely zip tie the wire loom to give it room. I did drive around afterwards but didn't crank the wheel all the way, and you're right, that could cause extra stress to the wire.

My bad, I thought you were talking about the other wire harness that is mounted to the stock deflector on the SS 1LE. I haven't done anything with the ABS wire and don't see an issue with it.

Ah, interesting -- I didn't notice any rubbing when I put mine on the ZLE, but looking at pics I have it does look like the ABS wire is touching the deflector. I don't think it's an issue, but I'll take a better look next time I have the wheels off.

I bought mine from GMPartsNow. $19/each and $9.92 shipping came out to $51.10 total.

Interesting. I guess with MRC the harness for it helps protect the ABS wire in this case.

On my 1LE, I drilled two new holes in the top "little" deflector scoop to mount the MRC wires, which look to, also, hold the ABS wires away from the deflector:
(First picture is of the SS track deflectors showing the MRC harness and x-mas tree zip-ties; second picture is of the BW deflector - I drilled the holes right at the crevice/in the place as best away from airflow as I could determine)
