Installed Depo smoked side markers on the front of the car today. I have to remove my rock guards in order to install the rears, so I'll tackle those later in the week. Just did the markers and not the LEDs. The smoked lenses are $35 compared to $200 for the replacement LED lenses. I'm not a huge fan of the LEDs anyway, so I opted for the less expensive option. The smoked lenses definitely look better on Rapid Blue.

I finally was able to install the rear smoked side markers. They definitely look better on Rapid Blue than the OEM markers.

What’s involved with the install? Loosen the inner liner and then is there access? Where did you find them for $35?

It's not too bad. The front is easier than the rear. In the front just remove the center screw and pull the liner back. You can actually reach the top clip without pulling back the liner, but you can't reach the bottom. In the rear it's better to remove all three screws in order to be able to reach the clips. Once the lense is removed you have to remove the bulb housing from the lense and attach it to the new lense. It locks in place with a twist.

I purchased mine off eBay, but the same vendor sells them on its website. The seller on eBay is neondials.

Changed the oil (second time) and the e-diff fluid at 1,500 miles.

Went to Lowes this morning to pick up a few things. Parked the 1LE way out in the parking lot close to another Camaro. As I was approaching my car I see a young boy (probably 10-12) walking across the parking lot with what appeared to be his grandmother. There was a median separating us. As I got into the car I see in the mirror they had stopped behind me. I watched the boy as I started the car (in Sport mode of course). He smiled pointing at the car to his grandmother. Then I drove off in 1st gear so I could let off the gas and make the exhaust burble and crackle. I looked back and he had stopped and was watching again.

I wish I had driven over to them so he could check out the car. I didn't think about it until I was down the road. When I was his age that would have made my day. If we want to keep performance cars around we need to teach the younger generation about them and to appreciate them because they will be the buyers of tomorrow.

My next mod was adding a trim piece around the shifter and mode and e brake controls. I did this after having issues with the drive mode getting inadvertently changed when shifting gears. Thanks to the forum for the information on the trim piece. I went with silver to match the trim on the doors.

And I almost forgot about my 3D Maxpider floor mats. The best all weather mats I've had.
I did not know about these floormats, was going to go with Weathertech like I had in my Mazda. These look nicer to look at.

Great looking car.

Thanks. Welcome to the forum.

They are nicer. First tried them in my wife's minivan. LOL!
