I have the DR900X-2CH and it has been a nice camera would definitely recommend. I like that it tucks up behind the mirror under the PDR.

The VIOFO A119 is bulky and hideous tho. The T130 3CH is a better comparison at half the price of the original suggestions. I like that the T130 has a rotatable interior camera for recording conversations outside the driver's window (i.e. when pulled over).

Hi I want to do this exact set-up. What mount did you get in order to mount your radar detector + dash cam? I contacted Blend Mount and they said there is no such mount? Thanks for the help beforehand!

The dashcam mounts with double sided tape to the windshield. It is a tight fit with that and the blendmount for the radar detector. But I have not had any issues with either since installing them.

Okay thanks for the quick response, it looked like a combo mount of sorts. Looks like I'll be doing something similar

It looks like the main selling point for the Blackvue is cloud integration through WiFi connectivity, but my car is parked in a shared gated garage which doesn't have WiFi, so I'm not sure if it'll be worth it. Might look for something similar. Open to suggestions...

I'm a big fan of Viofo. I have them in all 3 of our vehicles. Front and rear. 2k front, 1080p rear. Wifi connectivity. Has the option to record constantly when the car is off or record at like 3 fps. And not very expensive either.

I've been using the BlackVue DR900X-2CH in my Camaro for about a year now, and I'm incredibly impressed with its performance. Before that i used a Mercylion integrated dashcam. The 2K front camera captures stunningly clear video, even in low-light conditions, and the parking mode has already saved me from a hit-and-run incident. While it's a bit pricey, the investment is well worth it for the exceptional quality and peace of mind it provides.

Just in case someone reads the previous post (from that spam bot) and decides to buy the Blackvue based on that advice, I've had their dash cams since 2017 and they are good, but far from perfect.

The 4K front camera is just about enough for plate/driver identification from a reasonable distance, meaning when the other car is farther ahead or to the side, not practically parked right ahead of your from bumper.

More recently, the Blackvue app has gone almost unusable, its wifi connection has become spotty, half the time it's unable to switch to the live view, camera detection is much less than reliable (my hardware hasn't changed at all), and its aggressive push of their cloud subscription is now highly obnoxious.

I'm starting to be concerned about usability if an accident happens and I need the footage right then and there, short of yanking the SD card and slapping it into the phone---based on my recent app experience I'm almost sure it won't work either due to some random custom video format issue, although I'll have to test that...

I got the Momento M7 Wifi and I'm happy with it, its only 2k front and 1080 rear but all the features are what sold it for me.
