Wire routing for dash cam from rear fuse box

So I am looking at getting my dual channel dash cam installed this week if possible. I'm not a fan of the front fuse box as it's a fully enclosed unit which will require me to notch into it which will require me to try to make it watertight again, grommets or some way to seal up the hole. The rear fuse area is much easier to just tap in and start routing. The issue I have is routing that wire to the front of the car. I'm not looking for a huge project but I would really like a clean install.

Does anyone have any experience on what method they used to route the wiring from a rear fuse location to the front? I could go up from rear fuse up to headliner and straight to the front of the car. I have the 2ss with the rear camera and I'm pretty sure that wiring goes along the headliner to the front camera too, I think I need to pull off a bunch of panel trims to drop the liner.

Or should I just put in the effort to notching the front fuse cover, get a couple grommets and use silicone to fully close up that hole? If I go this route, is there a path I could take from engine bay to inside of passenger compartment. Is there an easy firewall grommet or can I run it from the engine compartment around the car and through the door and the rubber door seal?

I'm just looking for opinions on what would be the easiest and the best functioning method. TIA for any responses.

Hey db2022cs, I successfully did this back in 2018 with a Blackvue dual cam using the rear fuse box. The setup has been flawless since then and has a 99.9% OEM look; I've upgrade the cameras in the meantime, reusing the wiring and the PowerMagic Pro controller for parking mode. Check out the following threads for more info:

Hey thanks! I was actually looking for posts that gave a bit more detail like these but the search function is not the greatest even using the google method.

What circuit did you use in the rear fuse box for this?

The first link in my post #2 above refers to pictures of my fuse taps. I used F33 (wireless charger) and F39 (rear closure); my car is a 2SS and has the wireless charger circuitry, not sure about yours.
