Left Marker Lights
Hey guys, the other day, the marker lights on the left side of my car flickered and went out. I think it may be a connection issue, and I'm hoping one of you might know where to check any wiring connections to see if a plug may have come loose. Let me know, and thanks in advance!

Maybe check the bulb and see if it's damaged.
If the bulb looks good, check the side marker wiring connection. You could disconnect and reconnect the bulb and connectors. Beyond that, you might check to see if a fuse blew. I swapped my side markers out long ago for Diode Dynamics LED side markers. That's all I can think of right now. Good luck! |

The side markers are accessible through the wheel well.
Remove a few of the fender liner torx bolts. There's a clip on the back of the sidemarker and then you can push the whole sidemarker out from the back. Then you can remove the bulb socket and bulb. Since you'll be in there already, it's a great time to install some smoked sidemarkers

I'll try unplugging it and plugging it back in, see if that works. Hopefully that fixes it, not sure if it will though since they both quit at the same time.

The two LED segments functioning as standard position lights in the driver side taillight assembly are also driven off of this fuse, so if these work despite the dead left side markers, the next step would be to check continuity on the violet/gray wire that is shared between the left front and rear side markers. Finally, I'd check the bulbs themselves, it's not impossible that they went out shortly after one another (their service lives should be similar after all) and you just didn't notice the issue while only one was dead. (Note: all this is based on 2018 data, not sure what model year your car is, you might need to adapt the steps if your car is newer and there were changes after 2019. The BCM #4 fuse is still the same, but I don't know whether the wiring changed.)
