It switches to split screen mode for me when I tap one of the other icons at the bottom center. Tapping the same one again restores the full screen view.

Waze is not compatible with the split screen view yet. Try Google Maps, it should work. And make sure you have the latest Android Auto on your phone. Version 8.7.630264-release.

That's the version I have and you are right, I just checked, Waze is not compatible with split mode.

yeah they have to use the new android auto api. once it is out for everyone, im sure apps will update to support. i use google maps because they import most of waze's activities. i guess that is easy when you own them.

Hey guys,

There is one thing that bothers me from the first time I used Android Auto.

I always have to push the "play" button to hear music. Android Auto does not auto-play music. It is a little bit inconvenient.

Do you have the same issue?

It's not Android Auto problem. My factory radio auto plays music when I am running Android Auto.

Typically there's a setting in the music player app you use, on your phone. Check those settings.
