Brembo Brakes Pads

Are the Brembo brakes that are on the 2016 SS Camaro the same ones that are on the standard C7 Corvette? I have one on order and am planning to put ceramic pads on almost immediately and want to make sure I get the right ones.

Thank you.

That would probably be the smart move.

Brembo may or may not have the right pads ready for sale just yet.

The last time I used ceramic pads I went with Hawk. Looks like a lot of the guys are now using Carbotech.

My hawks powder like crazy. I was amazed how much break dust they create.

Is the OE pad for a SS with J6G Brembo 4 piston a semi metallic pad? I’m assuming so by the amount and nastiness of dust.

Folks seem to like the power stop z26. They are low dust and work just fine for DD.

I agree. I used them on my 2017 2SS and they stopped great, about half the dust and the color was a light gray versus dark black. Also, the Z23 are good too, more for daily driver, not as performance orientated but even less dust. I plan on getting them for my new 2SS as well, when ever I get it.
