I think I am gonna get this too...I park so far out these days with my current car that the booty is sticking out and I have to get back in to move forward.

That's what I get for driving the previous car for 9 years.

So where would be the best place to mount the sensor on the 2016 Camaro 2SS?

I prefer it to be hidden as much as possible

Hey I have always owned an S10. This is literally my first car I've ever driven and coming from an S10 that I got new in 2001, a trick I've been using is to pull in where you think you are good, and then put the car in reverse and take a look at the camera to see if you are in the spot, if your not, then just inch up until you are

Genius!

I'm still getting the curb alert though...you'd have thought that Chevy could just put it in, but maybe they're holding it for the mid-cycle refresh to give people a reason to upgrade.

EDIT - crap they are out of stock! Supposed to re-stock today but I guess I will call if he/she doesn't allow internet orders by monday.

My SRX had front end sensors as well as lane departure warning. Loved it. Never hit a curb. Since the Camaro is so low, you would think it would be standard.

The problem with this world is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be penalties for stupidity,
but why don't we just take the warning labels off everything and let the problem solve itself.

Bummer GM did not offer this on the Camaro, any thoughts as to why??? Even as an add on option, seems like it should be added.

I installed my curb alert this weekend. I installed a sto n go plate holder. I installed the sensor right next to the bolt, right on the sto n go bracket. Installation was not that hard once you got the wire fished up from the front of the car. I used a cable to fish it up right around the tow hook opening. I installed the control box next to the speaker right underneath the glove box. There is a nice flat area there. I used just the tape on the speaker and control box. Not sure if they will hold but it shouldn't be too hard to drill a couple of holes. The wires were routed through the passenger weatherstripping. It pulls back real easy. Remove the moulding along the floor and that will give you access to stuff the wires behind the footwell. In the pictures posted, power was suggested at terminals 4,5, or 6. In my car, only 6 was hot. I used the nut provided and used #1. The ground is the jumpstart terminal. I wrapped what I could with tape. Wire lome would have looked better but I did not have any.

I need to adjust. I have it too high. I suggest calibrating with a short box, maybe 4 " or less.

This only detects front threats, right? What about the side of the front bumper?

So I am currently trying to install the curb alert, but can't find the opening to fish up the wire through the engine ?? Can someone please let me know where that opening is ?
