I got lucky on mine when I got back in Feb of 2020 only options were 10 speed, spoiler, dual mode exhaust and wheel option. I also got a nice rebate added to it and with some negotiating got 5-7k off it compared to the 1SS with only Dual mode exhaust since they weren't budging much on that one. My LT1 also had the color I wanted too. I can always modify it later if I want to do more with it. All this is pretty much the reason I am an in a LT1 instead of a 1SS.

I had a 16 1SS and now 21’ Lt1. 21’ is way better. A10 is another level. A8 had weird pulling and was far leads smooth. 3.0 infotainment I wanted because of OTA updates; i dont have to go to dealer for updates. Rear view cam is great difference for stock spec LT1 VS 1SS. The Brembo frt brakes are higher spec then my old SS. SUspension is same FE3, which Im happy with. This car is way cheaper. I ordered RS option, non NPP, 3.0 infotainment. The Bose is plenty good, but audiophile types I could see them wanting better. I secured LZ1 lease being 279, my specification got me too 340 mo no dep, 0 down. I secured employee pricing. Just 495 for delivery & title. Im buying the car at term of lease. The SS was actually a purchase by an ex. Im embarrassed to admit she paid 41k for her car all said and done. This car was 36.2k

I know this is an older thread, but I have to say, I am more than happy with my LT1. Brembos front, NPP exhaust, 10 Spd auto. Also, this ain't my first rodeo, this is my 4th 6th gen Camaro after 2 5th gens and I loved every one of them. I had 2 Vettes in between some of the Camaros. I supercharged my 2018 2SS.

I've had 2 loaded 2SSes, a 1LE and now the LT1. I searched everywhere for a sharkskin grey car with the small spoiler. I just bought 1LE wheels and new tires and will install them this coming week. I had a GM performance CAI from my previous 2SS along with an oil catch can. I installed grey carbon fibre OES side skirts which will match wonderfully well with the darker 1LE wheels.

I prefer the LT1 over the SSes because it's a better looking car in my opinion. The front grill, lights and profile are simply awesome, again, my opinion. It is lighter and rides on the same suspension as the SS.

It may not be everybody's piece of the pie, but it suits me better than perfect.

LT1 for me...

I wrestled back and forth and decided to go with the LT1 w/V8 Manual. It just didn't make sense to buy a sports car with all of the idiot lights, warning lights, etc. found on the 1SS. I just didn't want to pay for things I didn't want, so I ordered the vehicle exactly the way I wanted. I might be old school, but I figure if you're going to drive, pay attention and drive. I also didn't like that the 1SS limited my ability to rotate the tires properly.

I've had numerous GM vehicles with automatic transmissions over the years and I hate them! From their trucks on down I've experienced clunking, searching for gears, engine run on after throttle release, and constant shifting. I've heard others praise the A10 on these pages, all well and good but history convinced me to stay away from the A10 and go with the manual. And once (if) I finally get the vehicle the first thing I plan to do is to install the skip shift eliminator.
Thankfully you can order or find a Camaro with exactly what you want. Don't settle for anything less, or more then what you want. Happy motoring!

1100 - 12/5/2022 Ordered Radiant Red, LT1, V8, Manual, RS...
1100 - 3/10/2023 Still waiting for allocation and not happy with GM's crappy dealer allocation process!

This is debatable as my LT1 Shows as an SS on all paperwork including my insurance.

I’m not certain who really needs or wants to go 149 miles an hour (or faster) on the street. But, I don’t think I’d want to share the road with them…

You’re really going to like the 1LE wheels on the LT1.

I go back and forth with the clean look of the LT1 verse the more aggressive SS. But like you, the LT1 suits me better overall. It’s kind of a blank sheet. You can choose to leave as is or customize.

The only bone of contention for me is the residual value of the LT1, if you start to make upgrades. By the time I’m done, I’ll be at or around 46k. For not much more could have got a 1LE. No doubt, a 1LE will hold its value better.

I have a 22 1SS 1LE M6 and am very happy with the looks and performance of the car. I considered the A10 due to my arthritis but am glad I got the M6. I wanted a great handling V8 manual transmission rear wheel drive car before they disappear for ever.

Maybe. I hope so. My 2018 comes in at $30K trade in, $31K private sale, with 64K miles on it. I paid just over $40k out the door, so in 4.5 years with pretty typical mileage it's lost 1/4 it's value.

The Super Sport will hold its value over time because the SS moniker has a valued history.

I considered every "other" sporty car before and none of them seemed to promise performance, good looks and the right price for me. So, like you, before they're gone, I bought another. I can't even imagine a world without loud mufflers.

We have a Chevy Bolt EV and it certainly is a thrifty car for around town. When people ask about it, I kid them at first saying that: I didn't like it at first because I couldn't find a set of headers for it...lol. Anyway, glad I got my Camaro!

I wouldn't put much emphasis on the badges if you're worried about resale, the model year/generation is what commands the asking price. You can pick up a 4th gen Z28 for practically nothing at all, meanwhile a 5th gen Z28 costs as much as a house in small town in Ohio.

This is true my car with USAA if something were to happen to it (hope nothing happens to it) they would value it as a 1SS since for them that is what the VIN tells them. The 1SS they had that was 5-6k more in sticker price and the LT1 I have now new for insurance was a 1-2 dollar difference in premiums per 6 month bill.
