Hmmm not sure if your going the right way.
If you want that power why not get a Zl1, its all done for you with a warranty. The SS has more then enough power for the street to get you into trouble burning rubber around town. In my opinion I could see an SS maybe supercharged if your a track nut.

Aren't Magnuson cars running high 10s and the ZL1 numbers are low 11s? Word-of-mouth around here at shows is the Magnuson is the best aftermarket SC option. Still seeking SC knowledge myself...

Johnston. I pass through Cranston pretty often. Looking forward to supercharging but Currently im looking for a place to store it the next couple months. Going on a short deployment and really don't want to leave it unattended outside.

With radials and exhaust work. Tires make a huge diff in track times.

I vote Magnuson all the way! Just that with no other bolt on's it made 530 HP and 588 lbs torque . Just saying if your going to supercharge your car go with Magnuson and their standard 3-year/36,000 mile Warranty on the supercharger hardware and standard 1-year Limited Warranty on electronics. You can find more info in our thread.

There are really only 3 PD superchargers available for the LT1 right now: Edlebrock E-force, Magnusson Heartbeat and ADM LT4 conversion. The whipple has not been produced yet and I'm sure based on the previous stuff from whipple it will be a good supercharger. The whipple will be a 2.9, the edlebrock and Maggie are 2.3's and the LT4 is a 1.7. These figures are based on air volume per rpm.
The problem is the LT1 is 11.5 compression and can't take a whole boatload of boost unless you give it some kind of octane boost. Most of us are daily driving and need to run on 91 or 93 e10 blended gasoline. The reality is at 5-7 pounds of boost the LT1 engine is comfortable. Beyond this it gets sketchy. You also run out of fuel but it is a lot easier to change fuel pumps than pistons and compression ratio. So based on all of this, if you want to bump the LT1 with a little power I think the LT4 supercharger can do it just as easy as anything else on the market for less cost and less parasitic loss when the supercharger is running in bypass mode most of the time (efficiency is the main reason GM developed it). I kind of feel that the engine needs a compression ratio change or the car needs to be converted to race gas/E85 to use the potential of the larger superchargers. If you want to go with a 2.3 the Maggie has a better intercooler system and will have slightly lower intake temps (make a little more power). If ADM does your build it will be awesome. ADM has done a lot of work for me and I can tell you they are one of the best shops in the country.

Do more research. The Maggie Heartbeat is far and away the most advanced PD Blower on the market at present. It's cooling is superior enough in itself to choose the Maggie.
Good luck!
